Overview

In creating this website, it has been necessary to put my work into categories.  This may give the impression of an orderly progression, each work within its little box.  In actual practice, nothing could be further from the truth.  I have always worked on several things concurrently: bodies of work overlap and intertwine,  projects proceed in fits and starts.  After nearly thirty years of working this way, I have come to accept it as the way I work.
What has been constant throughout is my interest in the photograph as visual poetry.  I feel I have always been photographing the same thing, I just come at it from many different angles.
